The ZESAR has won the Public Choice Award in the Delft Design & Engineering Award 2009!
The Delft Design and Engineering Award rewards the best design of the TU Delft. The design can range from a product, a process, a system or just a part of these, for example a building, a bridge, an apparatus, a vehicle, a material, a software program, a revolutionary construction method.
On the 5th of November 2009 the Delft University of Technology organized the Delft Design & Engineering Day. Innovations are dependent on engineers who put their fundamental research into smart constructions and designs. The design and engineering disciplines are the vital link between genuine, scientific research and innovation.
The TU Delft wishes to emphasize the importance of design and engineering as a scientific discipline, and declared ‘Design & Engineering’ as this year’s theme, with several initiatives and projects. The Delft Design & Engineering Award, the competition to reward the best design of the TU Delft, is one of them.
The Zesar participated in the Award for which the public voting started in October. At the Award Day itself, the public was also asked to vote for their favorite design and in total 3850 votes were submitted, of which Zesar got 936.
